Nick Meyer

Nick Meyer has worked in sports journalism since his junior year of college at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

He worked as the sports editor of his college's newspaper and also went on to intern at Hockey Weekly and a local paper.

Following graduation, he worked part-time at the Detroit Free Press, covering the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Pistons while becoming a contributing editor to the Red Wings' 2008 championship book "Forever Hockeytown."

He won a 2008 second-place Michigan AP Sportswriting Award for his coverage of the Lions' final game of their historically bad 0-16 season along with other five other Free Press writers.

He also has a great deal of experiencing writing about mixed martial arts and the UFC, having covered numerous events in person, and is a contributor to the Dallas Morning News' MMA blog.

The sports betting scene is also a passion of his as he has written content for BetUs.com for over two years.
