Pacquaio vs. Hatton Undercard Lock Picks

boxing betting sharps know very well that often on the undercard of prize fights, there is plenty of value to be had, despite the often lofty boxing lines presented at bell time. What generally happens is that so much money is poured into bringing the headline fighters together, that there's little left to fund a decent undercard, leading to one sided early knockouts that precede the main event.

This time around, there are certainly two heavy favorites on boxing odds, but fans of boxing odds, and get your beverages and snacks early, because there'll be exciting boxing betting action before 11:00 PM ET!

Mike Alvarado vs. Juaquin Gallardo

This is a cupcake, set up fight if there ever was one. Promotor Bob Arum has openly admitted that Alvarado is simply getting ready to face Paulie Malignaggi next, and views him as a future champion. "The Magic Man" Malignaggi had his tune up fight last weekend, and this will be the very same for the Denver native Alvarado. For easy money on the BetUS sportsbook, disregard the boxing odds and lay it down on Alvarado in this one.

Benoit Gaudet vs. Humberto Soto

If a fighter feels confident enough to make an optional defense of his title, then sports betting sharps can assume that the bout is in hand. Humberto Soto captured the vacant WBC Super Featherweight title in a grueling 12-round decision over Francisco Lorenzo in December of 2008, and not even three months later, defended it in a fourth round TKO over Antonio Davis. A fighting champion indeed, Soto is taking on highly touted Canadian pugilist Benoit Gaudet, who has rarely fought outside of his home in Quebec, Canada.

Gaudet will certainly put up a fight, so if you're looking at boxing props, certainly don't bet on an early stoppage. The Quebec scrapper has a storied amateur background, and will be able to competently box his way around the ring with Soto. However, the fact that he took the fight on short notice, while training for another bout at the Bell Center on the Timothy Bradley-Kendall Holt card may be too much to overcome.

Pick: Soto
