Warwickshire (+105) vs Hampshire (-145)

Hampshire will look to build on their opening league victory as they go up against Warwickshire, currently at +105 betting odds, who have in form Ian Bell desperate to catch the eye of the England selectors ahead of an important international summer with the Ashes on the horizon.

Hampshire, a -145 favourite, will be missing both Kevin Pietersen and captain Dmitri Masceranhas, who are currently playing in the IPL 2009 season and may once again have to rely on their bowling attack for any hopes of a victory. It will not be easy though as Bell and his fellow Warwickshire batsman look to be in great form ahead of this game.

Durham (-190) vs Yorkshire (+145)

Reigning champions Durham kick off their title defence as they host Yorkshire , who narrowly avoided relegation on the final round of fixtures in 2008. Yorkshire coach Martyn Moxon feels his side need to be more dominant this time around, but they will be severely tested by a Durham side who -190 favourites going into the game and are perhaps the most all-round complete side in county cricket.

However, the title holders tasted defeat in the Friends Provident trophy at the weekend as their batting collapsed and new captain Will Smith will be hoping the defeat was very much a one off and they quickly get back to winning ways and live up to their billing as +300 favourites to repeat as champions.
