IPL 2009 – Double the Fireworks Pleasure
by Juris Graney

Another Indian Premier League double-header and another delightful set of match ups for punters and cricket fans alike and there is no better time to jump on BetUS Sportsbook.
Fourth placed Rajasthan Royals (+100) have been moved to slight outsiders against the sixth placed Chennai Super Kings (-140).
In the second match and the hotly anticipated top of the table clash, the bookies are unable to split number one Deccan Chargers or second ranked Delhi Daredevils who are both installed as equal favourites at –120.
Once again with plenty of IPL betting options available at BetUS.com, lucky punters can pocket some much needed money for the weekend.
The bookies have accredited Rajasthan’s (P5/W2/L2/NR1) five-wicket victory against the Delhi Daredevils in their last match as somewhat an anomaly and maybe they are right.
Delhi posted a less than imposing 143 and had Rajasthan on the ropes before Yusuf Pathan (62no off 30 balls) pulled out a man of the match performance to steal victory with nine balls to spare.
Chennai (P5/W1/L3/NR1) on the other hand had the chance to upset table topping Deccan Chargers in their last match and were unlucky not to have walked away with the competition points.
Former Australian opened Matthew Hayden (49 off 35 balls) again provided the backbone for the Chennai innings allowing them to 6/165 off their 20 overs and if not for a blistering opening stand by Deccan’s captain Adam Gilchrist (44 off 19 balls) and man of the match Herschelle Gibbs (69 off 56 balls), they could have claimed the biggest scalp of the tournament.
If Chennai can post a similar total, Rajasthan will struggle to chase it down with their batsmen unable to follow captain Shane Warne’s earlier edict of putting more value on their wickets and are a good pick in a parlay on your BetUS Sportsbook.
To pick a winner in the second match of the double header, look no further than Deccan (P4/W4) to win over Delhi (P4/W3/L1).
What team wouldn’t want Gilchrist and Gibbs opening their innings for them and it seems the former is pretty chuffed with the latter’s performance.
“Gibbs is tremendous. His enthusiasm to contribute to the team's cause has been brilliant,” Gilchrist told the media after the match.
“He showed that class, composure and experience will see us home, without any hint of panic.”
Gilchrist will want VVS Laxman to start firing however while Delhi will need captain Virender Sehwag, AB de Villiers and Tillakaratne Dilshan to start scoring more runs.
