Two sides remain unbeaten in this season’s IPL as Deccan Chargers downed Chennai Super Kings by six wickets to maintain their 100% winning record to stay on top of the standings ahead of the also unbeaten Delhi Daredevils, who have played a game less.

Herschelle Gibbs led the way for Deccan with 69 not out as they overhauled Chennai’s testing total of 165-5 with just three balls remaining. Gibbs was ably supported once again by skipper Adam Gilchrist, who tallied 44 of just sixteen balls out of the opening pairs’ partnership of 67. Suresh Raina and Muttiah Muralitharan were economical for Chennai but had little support as Deccan once again underlined their batting strength and credentials as title favourites in this years IPL betting. Earlier, Matthew Hayden hit 49 and Jacob Oram 41 not out for Chennai, but the defeat leaves them with just one win in their first five games which saw captain MS Dhoni lay the finger of blame firmly at his bowlers as he seeks to arrest the slump his side are currently in.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya shared a century partnership of 127 as the Mumbai Indians convincingly defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 92 runs to move up to third in the standings. Tendulkar scored 68 and Jayasuriya 52 off just 32 balls as Mumbai posted an imposing 187/6 – Laxmi Shukla taking 3/25, before Lasith Malinga took 3/13 and Dwayne Bravo 2/21 as Kolkata collapsed to just 95 all out with only Saurav Ganguly (34) offering any sort of resistance.

As we head towards the halfway mark of the group stages of this years tournament, the top three of Deccan Charges, Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians do look strong indeed and the teams below them need to discover some form and consistency if they are to mount a challenge for this years title.

One said who showed a glimpse of turning their season around was the reigning champion Rajasthan Royals, who finally got off the mark in their previous game but go up on Tuesday again Delhi Daredevils who are heavy -175 favourites and will look to maintain their 100% record and keep the pressure on Deccan Chargers and full online betting odds can be found at BetUS sportsbook.

In the international game, Australia rallied from their opening ODI defeat to Pakistan to now lead 2-1 thanks to a 27 run victory in Monday’s low scoring affair. The Aussies batted first and could only must 198/9 from their allotted 50 overs, with skipper Michael Clarke top scoring with 66, ably supported by Callum Ferguson with 41. Umar Gul was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3/38. In reply, Pakistan began well, but the loss of Salman Butt – first out for 48 with the score on 95 signalled a steady flow of wickets as only Shoaib Malik (30) of the middle order batsman offered any resistance and Pakistan were dismissed for 171 with Michael Clarke backing up his form with the bat with bowling figures of 3/15.
