IPL 2009 - Rajasthan Royals Desperate for Win

Rajasthan Royals’ (-160) Indian Premier League campaign rests in the balance today when they take on the lowly Kolkata Knight Riders (+120) in the first of the double-header matches.
And despite the cricket lines showing Rajasthan (P13/W6/L6/NR1) as clear favourites, they will know that Kolkata (P13/W2/L10/NR1) could prove to be a thorn in their side by eking out a win.
For Kolkata at least, today will be the end of a less than impressive 2009 campaign with very little going for them on the field and even less going for cricket betting punters off the field.
The only time the two teams met, Rajasthan snuck away with a win in the competition’s only Super Over after the match ended in a tie.
Rajasthan (LWLLWWWWLWWL) on the other hand have had a mixed tournament and have rarely gathered momentum but they have kept up with the leaders of the competition and if they can secure a semi-final spot, than you can in no way discount last year’s champions.
Look to inspirational Rajasthan captain Shane Warne to lead his players to victory in what will be a one-sided match.
Kolkata will need to go away and regroup ahead of next year and expect a few heads to roll and a few new names to be added to the player roster next tournament.
