Welcome to another edition of the End Zone Newsletter.

Since our last communication, we’ve crowned a U.S. Open golf champ, awarded an NBA title, saw the top basketball amateurs get drafted and we have a new junior welterweight boxing champ.

Indeed, it’s been a very exciting last couple of weeks in the world of sports.

In this issue, we’ve come up with some of the more notable events and notes.

As well, we’ve introduced a new regular feature called the BetUS.com 5 Best, a humorous take on anything making news in the world of sports.

Action at the All England Tennis Club is feverish and the contenders are for real. This isn’t your parents’ game; these players can flat out hit! Wimbledon has been fast and furious thus far and the grass surface claimed several high profile victims early on.

Don’t miss your chance to predict who will be crowned champion. Have your say with a BetUS.com wager and celebrate just as much as the winners. Wimbledon is the most prestigious tournament in all of tennis; it’s where legends are made. Who will rise to legendary status this weekend?

As the country’s birthday approaches, so does one of the nation’s most prized and illustrious competitions;

Nathan’s Famous 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Will an American recapture the title or will it be retained by the Japanese champ? Amazingly, BetUS.com lets you try your hand at picking the winner. This test of stomach fortitude pits man against meat, hot dog quantity versus common sense. It’s a spectacle of epic and/or nauseating proportions.

Check out the contenders and their odds on the site right now. We’re not sure about the 50-plus hot dogs that some professional eaters can down, but enjoy your BBQ meat over this festive holiday weekend.

Now that inter-league play is over, we can get back to the rivalries and division races that drive Major League Baseball teams.

To recap the season thus far: the White Sox have been the biggest surprise and the Yankees the biggest disappointment, Washington is playing well in their new home and the Giants have struggled without Barry Bonds.

Indeed, it’s been a great season thus far and the action promises to increase with the hot summer temperatures.

BetUS.com reminds you that there’s plenty of ways to spice up a game. Whether it’s an interesting proposition or a straight pick’em; baseball just isn’t the same without BetUS.com.

The BetUS.com 5 Best reasons Larry Brown is leaving the Detroit Pistons:

5.

It’s already been a couple of years. His A.D.D. usually kicks in right about now and urges him to leave.

4.

There’s only so much of Rasheed Wallace’s whining you can tolerate.

3.

Riding the pine virtually all game every game near him, Darko Milicic isn’t much of a conversationalist.

2.

Richard Hamilton’s mask is really starting to scare him.

1.

LeBron – need we say more?

Now that’s got to hurt!

BetUS.com presents another humorous caption contest.

The challenge? To come up with a caption that best suits this photo.

The prize? Well, you’ll just have to enter to find out!

Whether it’s relevant or not, we want to be entertained and amused by your caption entry.
