BetUS.com Recipes

It’s time to stock up on recipes that’ll help us throughout this tailgating season.

Touchdown Chili
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. chili seasoning
- shredded cheddar cheese (garnish)
- sour cream (garnish)
- chopped green onion (garnish)

In large skillet over medium-high heat, add and stir ground beef and onion. Cook for 5 minutes or until done; drain if needed.

Stir in kidney beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chili seasoning.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with shredded cheese, sour cream and chopped green onion, if desired.

Tailgating

You can make the chili a day or two ahead of time. Heat (on stove or in microwave) and pour into a thermos. When you get to your picnic and tailgate party, it is nice and hot.

Makes 5 (1 cup) servings.
