He is, of course, the nephew of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, who captured three world championships, and has always been touted as a future star, even when he was a child, by his late uncle.

Senna was successful at each rung of the ladder as he moved up. In fact, he was supposed to be slated for a spot with this year's Honda F1 team, but as we know, the manufacturer pulled out of competition, leaving Ross Brawn to pick up the pieces and re-install Rubens Barrichello for 2009.
Now, after being runner-up for the title at GP2, Senna will finally get his chance. he's been named to one of the two seats that will be sent to the grid by the brand new Campos Meta team, which begins competition in F1 in 2010. Obviously he's got a hell of a name to live up to, and he has been no stranger to pressure because of that since he began racing. "I started my first race with a film crew on my backside," he told BBC Sport, "so since the beginning there has been a lot of pressure, a lot of expectation, a lot of demand."
Gerhard Berger, a close friend and former teammate of his uncle who has most recently been a part owner of the Toro Rosso team, is a big booster of Bruno's, but is still very objective about his prospects. "In the rain and in the dry, there have been races where he looks like he belongs in Formula One, and there were others where you have to say he is not ready," Berger says. "I think he is going to jump into cold water now and see what he can do."
The goal of the Campos team next season is to be the best of the new teams who are coming into F1. That group includes US F1, which has not decided on any drivers yet; Manor GP, which changed its name to Virgin Racing with a sponsorship from Richard Branson and has Timo Glock (100/1 to win the driver's title) in one of its seats, and Lotus GP. Also, the Sauber team, which has been bought again by Peter Sauber after BMW pulled out, will be granted a spot on the grid for 2010.
Luca di Grassi could be added as the second Virgin driver, while Andy Soucek, who won the F2 title this past year and tested with Williams, who has also gotten a nibble from Campos.
Kimi Raikkonen, who was the highest-salaried F1 competitor in 2009, has left the circuit temporarily and will race for a Citroen-backed team in the World Rally Championship. Raikkonen, who won the world F1 title in 2007 and finished in sixth place in the standings in 2009, was said to be interested in the second seat at Renault, may return to F1 in 2011, but he really wants a favorable situation. Renault may yet turn to di Grassi, who was a reserve driver for them last season, to team with Robert Kubica.
Meanwhile, here come the legends! Well, possibly. Jacques Villeneuve, a former F1 world champion who is 39 years old, is supposedly drawing some interest from both Lotus and US F1, and he is very interested in writing a better ending to his Formula One story. Villeneuve, who won the title in 1996, and had very unsuccessful and brief tenures with BAR, Renault and Sauber. Still, he may be important in bringing more visibility to the US F1 effort, as well as playing the part of seat-warmer while the newcomers figure out how they are going to fill those seats with Americans in the near future.
Michael Schumacher may be contemplating a return to Formula One once again, but it wouldn't be with Ferrari, where he is under contract as a consultant and which apparently won't be abel to get a third seat on the grid next season. Instead, it would be for the Mercedes team which raced as Brawn GP this past year and won the constructor's championship. They have already signed one German driver, Nico Rosberg (+1000 to win the title) and may be looking for another. If Schumacher doesn't sign, then Nick Heidfeld (+3500) may be brought into the Mercedes fold. Heidfeld hasn't won a F1 race in ten seasons of competition.
