The European Tour will be staging the U.S. Open. Regardless, Els is currently pegged as the +700 favorite to win the tournament.

Henrik Stenson, who won this event in 2006, is pegged at +1000 odds to win back-to-back BMW International Open titles; he’s tied with Paul Casey in second spot on the odds list. Miguel Angel Jimenez, the 2004 champion, is next on the list at +1800 odds.

Thomas Bjorn won this tournament in both 2002 and 2000, but he’s back at +3500 odds to win this time around. Bjorn missed the cut at the U.S. Open, and is currently ranked 81st in the world. Other past champs slated to play in the tournament this week include John Daly, who won in 2001, and Colin Montgomerie, who won in 1999.
