Phil Mickelson and his sore wrist missed the cut at the PGA Tour stop. A Monday announcement confirmed Mickelson’s withdrawal from the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands, an event which he has won twice in his career.

Mickelson had been the +700 favorite to win on the Cromwell, Connecticut golf course this week, but now the favored status moves to Vijay Singh. The native of Fiji, who ended up tied for 20th place at 14-over at the U.S. Open, is listed at +750 odds to win the Travelers Championship. Singh is the No. 6-ranked golfer in the world at this time.

J.J. Henry won this event last year when it was called the Greater Hartford Open). However, Henry is back at +3500 odds to get the win this time around. Henry is just No. 71 in the current rankings, but he did manage to finish a respectable 26th at Oakmont on the weekend.

Woody Austin, the 2004 champion, is also pegged at +3500 odds this week, but like Mickelson he missed the cut at the U.S. Open last week. Austin is ranked 84th right now

After Singh, the next-best odds on the list belong to David Toms who is at +1000. Toms finished in a tie for fifth place at Oakmont. Justin Rose is just behind Toms at +1200 odds to win the tournament, while Stewart Cink is listed at +1400, Zach Johnson is at +1500, and Padraig Harrington is at +1800.
