Buick Invitational Group Betting - We Have the Winners

The Buick Invitational is one of the most prized events on the PGA Tour. One of the reasons its popularity has soared is because of the usual presence of Tiger Woods who often times is unbeatable at Torrey Pines Golf Course near San Diego.
Woods has dominated the Buick Invitational in recent years. He won’t be at this year’s Buick Invitational, however. That means that another golfer will take home the top prize.
For group betting.
Let’s get to it!
Buick Invitational Group Betting
Group A: What a group! Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington are the favorites at +250 with Camillo Villegas at +300. Retief Goosen at +350 and Davis Love at +450 round out the group. The top three choices are going to be difficult to beat. Harrington is a monster when he’s own, almost unbeatable, and Mickelson should bounce back from a terrible FBR Open. But my money will be on Villegas who’s getting better online odds than both Harrington and Mickelson and might be coming into his own this year.
Pick: Camillo Villegas at +300
Group B: This is another stellar group with Luke Donald the favorite at +225. Rory Sabbatini and Charles Howell are both at +300 while Aaron Baddeley and Hunter Mahan are at +350. With such a close group, it makes sense to make a small swing and take a long shot in this. I’ll put a few online bucks on Aaron Baddeley who is just as good as the top three choices on any given day. Donald at +225 might make a run for the money but his online odds are too low to justify a bet.
Pick: Aaron Baddeley at +350
Group C: This is a tough group to figure out with Rod Pampling, Ryuji Imada and Carl Pettersson all going off at +300. Jon Senden and Kevin Sutherland are both going off at +350 but I’m not looking any where else after Pettersson. He’s just better than the rest of these golfers in this group and should do well this weekend at Torrey Pines.
Pick: Carl Pettersson at +300
Group D: Every single golfer in this group is currently going off at +300 in the sportsbook. The golfers are Troy Matteson, Brandt Snedeker, Mathew Goggin, Steve Marino and Charlie Wi. I can’t really separate anyone in this group but I guess if I had to make an online bet it would be on Goggin. Why not? The Australian has made the cut once this season. He’s as good a pick as anybody in this group.
Pick: Matthew Goggin at +300
Good Luck!
