U.S. Open Betting - Players to Miss the Cut

The U.S. Open is this week which means that BetUS Sportsbook fans get a chance to not only bet on the golfers in the Golf Power Rankings to win, but also on some golfers that might just get hot at the right time.
One of the best ways to try to earn profits when it comes to golf is to bet on which players will miss the cut in a Major tournament. Some very good odds are to be had on some very good, but not great, golfers who are just over their heads in the big tournaments on the PGA Tour.
Let’s take a look at some of those golfers right now.
Golf: U.S. Open To Miss The Cut
1. Thomas Levet -110 - - 40 year old Tommy from France is what amounts to a football bet in this. The last time he played in a PGA Event it was at Torrey Pines in 2008 in…yep, the U.S. Open. He didn’t make the cut that day and figures to miss the cut again this year. At “football bet” odds, I like Levet to pack his bags before Saturday rolls around.
2. Angel Cabrera +150 - - The Masters’ champ was fantastic on that day but he followed it up by missing the cut at Quail Hollow. He did finish 14th in his last PGA Event, the TPC Sawgrass, but he has missed the cut 4 times out of 9 tournaments this year. Why not miss another cut on a course that is almost guaranteed to test his abilities?
3. Sergio Garcia +225 - - He’s slowly becoming the Spanish version of John Daly by just blowing it early and often. He has made the cut in 6 out of 8 tournaments this year on the PGA Tour but he’s missed the cut in two out of his last three tournaments. Sergio could fail miserably on one of the toughest courses in the United States.
4. Francesco Molinari -120 - - He wasn’t close in the Irish Open, the European Open and even failed to make the cut in the Celtic Manor Wales Open. This will be his first PGA Tour Event of the year. The Italian Molinari is shooting for the stars by going after it at Bethpage Black. He should have no shot of teeing it up on Saturday unless he wants to hit off of the driving range.
5. Martin Kaymer +120 - - Kaymer has made 6 out of 7 cuts this year on the PGA Tour and that looks good until gamblers realize that the lone cut he missed was at the Masters. Well, Bethpage Black figures to be the toughest course he tees off at this year. At odds of +120, above even money, gamblers have to consider a wager on this guy.
6. Phil Mickelson +500 - - I believe Mickelson wins the 2009 U.S. Open, but why not take a shot at him to miss the cut? If he fails, he could fail big time and he did look shell-shocked in the final round of the St. Jude Classic last week. Lefty to not make the cut as a “saver” bet makes sense.
