NCAAB Betting Odds: Kentucky -9.5
TV: ESPN 360

Alabama (17-14 SU, 13-13-2 ATS, 7-10 Conf.)
Kentucky (29-2 SU, 16-13 ATS, 14-2 Conf.)

Here is a look at tonight’s key head-to-head trends surrounding this contest.

  • Favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
  • Crimson Tide are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

Alabama 411
Crimson Tide are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
Crimson Tide are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 neutral site games.
Crimson Tide are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

Alabama has won four consecutive games and beat South Carolina 68-63 in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Nashville on Thursday. The Tide placed just two players in double figures in scoring, led by Mikhail Torrance’s team-high 17 points but held the Gamecocks to just 36.5 percent shooting from the field to record the win.
Alabama covered as 2-point favorites, while the teams played UNDER the 133.5-point total listed by sportsbooks.

Kentucky 411
Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite.
Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Southeastern.
Wildcats are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games.

Kentucky jumped out to an early lead against Florida and held on to record a 74-66 win over the Gators. The Wildcats failed to cover the college basketball betting as an 11-point home favorite on Sunday. Eric Bledsoe and Darius Miller each scored a team-high 14 points for Kentucky in the win while gifted point guard John Wall added 11 points and eight assists.

Analysis: Kentucky has won four straight over Alabama, including twice this season, both times by double digits. The Wildcats won 61-51 in Alabama on Jan. 24 as 6-point road favorites before recording a 66-55 win over the Tide on Feb. 9 as 15-point home favorites.

I’m a bit surprised that the point spread for this contest is not in double digits seeing as how the Wildcats dominated the Tide twice this season.

Kentucky is the easy pick in this contest as the favorite in this series has gone a blistering 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and Alabama posting a dismal 3-7 ATS record in the last 10 meetings against the Wildcats.

Kentucky has also gone and impressive 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite and I like them to record their third double digit win over the Tide this season.
