Minnesota Twins Betting Futures
by Nick Meyer

The Minnesota Twins finished out the 2009 MLB season in the most dramatic and exciting way possible: with a one-game playoff win at home in the Metrodome against the Detroit Tigers in an instant classic that happened to be the last game in the storied stadium's history.
But the Twins ended their 2009 season unceremoniously as they bowed out early in the MLB playoffs yet again with a loss to the New York Yankees, the eventual World Series champion.
The Twins will head into 2010 with an optimistic outlook, however, and the maturation of this young team gives MLB betting enthusiasts a real hope that they might be able to get over the hump this time around.
While the Twins still play fundamentally sound baseball and will as long as the crafty, well-schooled Ron Gardenhire remains manager, they have evolved into a powerful offensive team thanks to their own “Big Three” in the middle of the lineup of Justin Morneau, Joe Mauer, and Michael Cuddyer.
The latter of the big three is not as big of a star as the first two but he has proven himself to be one of the better clutch performers in the American League with clutch extra base hits and home runs.
The Twins still have a reputation as a pitching-driven team but they scored 817 runs last year, which was more than 40 higher than the next-highest total in the American League Central above runner-up Cleveland.
With MLB betting odds of +1,000 to win the American League pennant, the Twins are worth a long look from baseball betting line enthusiasts.
Tampa Bay also checks in at +1000 odds by comparison but the Rays are stuck in the American League East.
In the AL Central, the Twins only have to deal with the likes of the Tigers and White Sox and both have a many more flaws than the Yankees and Red Sox for example.
The Twins didn't make a ton of off-season moves, adding only JJ Hardy at shortstop, who should improve the defense. They lost Joe Crede, Carlos Gomez, and Orlando Cabrera but should be fine at those spots.
But the continuity offered by the Twins to MLB betting line enthusiasts along with the solid odds and all of the young talent that continues to mature makes them an attractive bet at +1000 for the AL Pennant.
Picking the Twins at +2500 is obviously much more risky but it would also be worth a look for those looking for MLB betting odds with even higher potential.
