MLB Betting Breakdown – Baseball’s Hottest Ballclubs Heading into the Second Half

Ready to make some bankroll-boosting second-half bets, MLB gamblers?
Then look no further!
This in-depth look at the hottest ballclubs heading into second half of the 2010 MLB regular season will put devoted pro baseball bettors on the right path toward making a plethora of payday-producing picks over the course of the coming week at the very least.
With that said – and the second half set to start in a mere matter of hours, let me get started.
These teams have all won at least four or their last five games heading into the annual all-star break.
ChiSox 5-0
The White Sox (49-38) are on fire MLB gamblers! Ozzie Guillen’s ballclub has won eight straight games and nine of its last 10 games overall. Still, I’d try to keep things in proper perspective as the ChiSox swept the mediocre Angels and lowly Royals over the last two series and seven games.
Colorado 4-1
The Rockies generally get on a big second half roll, but apparently they’re getting started early this season. I know the Rockies had their six-game winning streak snapped in their last game just before the break, but I’m betting Colorado gets on another second-half roll at some point soon – just as they have in each of the last three seasons.
San Francisco 4-1
The Giants won their last two games prior to the annual all-star contest and have won six of seven overall. Still, unless this team can improve its uninspiring offense, they will have their work cut out in beating out San Diego, L.A. and Colorado in the competitive NL West., despite having three Cy Young calibers starters.
Detroit 4-1
The Tigers had their five-game winning streak snapped just before the break but have arguably the game’s best hitter in Miguel Cabrera and have won seven of its last nine games overall heading into the second half.
Philadelphia 4-1
The Phillies closed out their first half by sweeping a good Cincinnati Reds ballclub in their four-game set, recording consecutive 1-0 wins in the final two games to become the first Phils team to accomplish the feat since 1913. The Phillies will be looking to get on a solid second half roll in order to surpass the Mets and NL East-leading Braves, but may need another starter in order to do so (I knew letting Cliff Lee go wasn’t a good idea, duh).
NY Yankees 4-1
The Yankees have won eight of its last nine games, by taking two of three from Toronto and Seattle and sweeping the mediocre Athletics. Not seeing the Yanks in the postseason would be big news MLB betting fans.
Baltimore 4-1
Good for Baltimore! The Orioles just completed their first road sweep in nearly two decades by taking out the high-powered Texas Rangers four straight times no less. Maybe, just maybe, the Orioles can play close to .500 baseball for my boy Juan Samuel over the season’s second half.
Atlanta 4-1
Atlanta had its four-game winning streak snapped by the Mets in its final game before the break but have won seven of its last 10 games overall while winning two of three from its three main NL East rivals, New York, Philly and Florida.
Tampa Bay 4-1
The Rays won two straight before the annual midsummer classic while going a blistering 8-1 over its last nine games. Yankees haters everywhere will be happy to know the Rays have a very legitimate shot of winning the AL East this season.
