With all the controversy, where’s Bonds?

BetUS.com: With all the trouble Congress has gone through to subpoena such renowned baseball athletes as Jose Canseco, Jason Giambi, Mark McGwire, Curt Schilling, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro and Frank Thomas to appear at the March 17 hearing of the House Government Reform Committee, the burning question is “Why not Barry Bonds”? If the congressional committee is investigating steroids policy in the MLB ranks, then it only stands to reason that Bonds, too, should be subpoenaed. Could it be because he’s on the cusp of breaking Babe Ruth’s long-standing runs record? If anything, that should give MORE reason to get him in under oath, right? It has been suggested that the reason for NOT bringing Bonds into the mix is to retain the integrity of Congress, as Bonds would surely create some sort of spectacle by making some sort of outrageous comment about a serious topic, as he usually does. Maybe C-SPAN just isn’t ready for a walk-on special appearance by Dave Chappelle.
