He’s 5-4 with a solid 3.43 ERA allowing 78 hits and 31 runs (30 earned) with a spectacular K/BB ratio of 77/17 in 78+ total innings of work. His 77 K’s are the second most in the American League. He owns a personal mark of 3-1 at home this season with a 3.15 ERA. This will be just his second home start in his last seven outings. In his career against the Twins, Vazquez is 5-5 with a 4.97 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 15 total starts. He’s 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in his lone start against Minnesota this season, which came at home back in early April.
