ALCS Game 3 – Angels vs. Yankees in a Must Win for LA

The Los Angeles Angels (100-67 SU, 94-72 RL, 84-76-6 O/U) have dropped each of the first two games of their ALCS matchup against the New York Yankees (108-59 SU, 91-76 RL, 77-82-8 O/U) and will be in total desperation mode as they look to win their first game and close the gap on New York.
The bitter AL rivals will square off at Angel Stadium in Game 3 tonight at 8:30 PM ET.
The Yankees beat the Angels 4- 3 in Game 2 of the series, scoring the game-winner on a throwing error in the 13th inning on Saturday night to cash in for BetUS MLB betting members as a -170 home favorite.
Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter both homered for New York in the win while Chone Figgins and Erick Aybar picked up RBI’s for Los Angeles in the loss.
Lefthander Andy Pettitte (15-8, 4.07 ERA) will take the mound for the Yankees tonight while the Angels counter with right-hander Jered Weaver (17-8, 3.67 ERA).

The Starters: Andy Pettitte has gone 2-1 over his last three starts with a 3.24 ERA while Jered Weaver has gone an identical 2-1 over his last three starts with a stellar 1.47 ERA.
Analysis: While the New York Yankees have cost me in each of the first two games following my foolish pick in Game 1 – and lucky win in Game 2, I’m taking the Los Angeles Angels to bounce back and win this contest tonight at home behind red-hot right-hander Jered Weaver.
Yea, I know the Yankees have gone a spotless 4- 0 in their last four games against AL West ballclubs and impressive 4- 1 in Andy Pettitte’s last five starts as a road underdog, but they will be facing an Angels team that has gone 5- 0 in their last five games as a favorite and 6- 1 in their last seven games as a home favorite.
Another reason I like the Angels is the fact that the Yankees have gone a pitiful 1- 5 in Pettitte’s last six starts against the Los Angeles Angels and winless 0- 4 in Pettitte’s last four road starts against L.A., not a good sign for the Yankees or any bettor thinking about backing them in this contest.
With the Halos also going a blistering 20- 8 in Weaver’s last 28 home starts against a team with a winning record and New York going an awful 8- 20 in the last 28 meetings in Los Angeles, the Angels are the easy pick to record the straight up win, though I also think a Run Line cover may in order for this matchup.
Take Los Angeles to record the SU win at the very least and likely, the Run Line win as well as the Over also plays out in this MLB Parlay.
