MLB Sept.27 – Saturday Four-Pack of MLB Free Picks

Bookmark and Share by Eric Williams

With just two games remaining in the BetUS Sportsbook coming into today’s matchups, at least five teams are still gunning for, either their respective division titles or a wild card berth.

This MLB Saturday ‘Four-Pack’ will give members of the BetUS online MLB wagering community four excellent opportunities to increase their respective MLB seasonal bankrolls by making some solid wagers on this final weekend of regular season baseball.

Here is a look at each contest, followed by my analysis and MLB Free Picks:

New York Mets

The Pitchers: Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco is 15-7 in 31 starts and two relief appearances covering 205.1 innings with 176 strikeouts, 41 walks and with an ERA of 3.55.

Mets starter Jonathon Niese is 1-1 in three starts covering 14.0 innings with eleven strikeouts, eight walks and an 7.07 ERA.

Analysis: The Mets sure are picking a poor time to be starting a pitcher that is so mediocre at such a crucial time of the season. Maybe it’s me, but I smell another ‘choke’ taking place in this contest.

MLB Free Picks: Marlins 7 Mets 6

Philadelphia Phillies

The Pitchers: Nationals starter John Lannan is 9-14 in 30 starts covering 177.0 innings with 112 strikeouts, 69 walks with an 3.86 ERA.

Phillies starter Jamie Moyer is 15-7 in 32 starts covering 190.1 innings with 122 strikeouts, 61 walks and an ERA of 3.78.

Analysis: Were John Lannan pitching for a better team, his record would undoubtedly be much better than it currently is. However, he’s not playing for another team – he plays for the lowly Nationals who are going to get totally mystified by veteran lefty, Jamie Moyer.

MLB Free Picks: Phillies 6 Nationals 4

Chicago White Sox

The Pitchers: Indians starter Zach Jackson is 1-3 in eight starts with two relief appearances covering 51.1 innings with 27 strikeouts, 12 walks with an 5.96 ERA.

White Sox starter Javier Vazquez is 12-15 in 32 starts covering 204.0 innings with 195 strikeouts, 59 walks and an 4.46 ERA.

Analysis: Javier Vazquez was atrocious in his last start, but I just don’t see the White Sox losing this game as they will likely jump all over Cleveland starter Zach Jackson. Take the ChiSox to pick up a much-needed victory in this contest.

MLB Free Picks: White Sox 7 Indians 5

Minnesota Twins

The Pitchers: Royals starter Gil Meche is 13-11 in 33 starts covering 204.1 innings with 176 strikeouts, 70 walks and an ERA of 4.05.

Twins starter Glen Perkins is 12-4 in 25 starts covering 146.0 innings with 70 strikeouts, 39 walks with and 4.50 ERA.

Analysis: I’ll keep this pick short and right to the point by saying that the Twins didn’t come this far just to lose to the lowly Kansas City Royals. Look for the overachieving Twins to continue their march toward winning the AL Central title.
