The Los Angeles Dodgers (97-67 SU, 78-85 RL, 72-78-13 O/U) when the two ballclubs square off at Busch Stadium on Saturday at 6 PM ET.

The Dodgers took a commanding 2-0 lead over the Cardinals by handing their NL rivals a narrow 3-2 loss on Thursday. Los Angeles cashed in for BetUS MLB sports betting members as +105 home underdogs while the game’s five total runs played Under the 7-run Over/Under total.

Andre Ethier and Ronnie Belliard each drove in runs for the Dodgers while Adam Wainwright failed to record the victory despite allowing just one earned run in eight stellar innings as Matt Holliday committed a poor error in the ninth inning, giving L.A. the victory.

Here is a look at tonight’s key trends and MLB Odds, followed by my in-depth analysis and expert MLB Free Picks.

  • Dodgers are 5-0 in their last 5 Divisional Playoff games.
  • Dodgers are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. a team with a winning record.

The Starters: Vicente Padilla has gone 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA over his last three starts while Joel Piniero has gone 1-1 over his last three starts with a 5.50 ERA.

Analysis: The Los Angeles Dodgers have taken the Cardinals’ best shots and have survived, beating both of the Cardinals’ Cy Young contenders in the first two games of this series.

However, St. Louis has another gifted pitcher going for them in Game 3 in veteran, Joel Piniero.
The Cardinals have gone an impressive 4-0 in their last four playoff home games while also posting a stellar 7-1 SU mark in their last eight divisional playoff home games.

However, St. Louis is clearly not playing very well, losing three straight games to close out the regular season before dropping each of the first two games in this series, giving them a five-game losing streak coming into this contest.

The Cardinals have also gone a dismal 1-4 in their last five game against NL West opponents and 1-5 in their last six games against a right-handed starter.

The Dodgers have gone a stellar 5-0 in their last five divisional playoff games and 4-0 in their last four games against a team with a winning record.

L.A. has also backed veteran right-hander Vicente Padilla very well since acquiring the veteran right-hander late in the regular season, going a spotless 4-0 in Padilla’s last four road starts and 6-1 in Padilla’s last seven starts overall.

The Cardinals are presenting bettors with a serious conundrum by going 4-0 in Joel Pineiro’s last four starts against NL West ballclubs but also going 1-5 in Pineiro’s last six starts overall.

However, the Dodgers have historically struggled very badly in St. Louis, going a pitiful 6-20 in the last 26 meetings in St. Louis.

With L.A. also going a winless 0-4 in their last four road games and 14-33 in the last 47 meetings overall, I am going to take the absolutely desperate Cardinals to win this contest straight up.

With the Under going 4-1 in the last five meetings in St. Louis and 5-2 in the last seven meetings between these two ballclubs overall, I also like the Under to play out as well.

Take the Cardinals for the SU win while the Under also cashes in.
