Who to watch for?

Sunday's NASCAR GFS Marketplace 400 has a lengthy list of potential winners making this a great bettor's race with good .

Who to Watch For

Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, and Greg Biffle are all past winners at MSI and each have the muscle to find their way back to victory lane on Sunday. Stewart is strong here and as he tries to remain in the top-10 he should be up front again late in the race. Biffle took the green at Michigan in '04 in an abbreviated race because of rain and then again in '05. MSI has been a very good track to Biffle and this team needs a victory to maintain its morale and Michigan is certainly the place it could happen. Busch and Biffle both are hanging on to slim hopes of making the Chase, and a win Sunday would greatly put those hopes within reach.

Another driver to watch is Kasey Kahne who won here in June. Kahne has been bad since that race, but a win Sunday would also boost his chances of making the chase for the cup. Kahne leads Cup drivers with four wins this season proving he can get the job done, so you can not count him out this weekend.

Sleepers

There are several sleepers capable of taking the checkers Sunday and each would pocket a nice return on your investment. Carl Edwards, Jeremy Mayfield and Matt Kenseth are drivers who can indeed to that very thing.

Edwards is experiencing the sophomore jinx and his season clearly hasn't gone as planned. He is most likely out of the chase but a big performance from the No. 99 could leave Edwards with at least a glimmer of hope. Edwards has been good at MSI in his short career giving him a very legitimate chance to score his first win at Michigan on Sunday.

Mayfield won this same event last year in strong fashion. He's another driver who's chase hopes are all but gone, however, a strong race here would work wonders for him and his team as they look towards next season.

Kenseth is second in points and will be racing with the big picture in mind, but don't count him out to press for the victory. This week his crew chief Robbie Reiser was quoted as saying, ''I'm not content with sitting second in the Nextel Cup Series standings''. The #17 crew will be taking the team's best cars to Michigan this weekend.

Driver vs. Driver

In  this is a good race to throw out big guns like Jeff Gordon, points leader Jimmie Johnson, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Both Gordon and Johnson will showcase big picture racing this weekend creating room for others to finish in front of them. Earnhardt posted a solid third-place finish in June, but in the five previous races at MSI he finished no better than 17th. He has a dismal average of finish here of 19.3.
