No Fear and Cheating in Las Vegas!

Berrier either before or
after the qualifier;
I can’t tell. Can you?

On Tuesday, NASCAR suspended the Crew Chiefs for Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick when they were caught cheating at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Crew Chief Chad Knaus and Alan Gustafson were both suspended for two weeks and fined $35k and $25k respectively. However, Crew Chief Todd Berrier was fined $25k and suspended for four weeks for rigging Harvick’s gas tank to look full when it really contained only five gallons of gas during qualifying. This weight difference allowed Harvick to finish fourth. (Like nobody was going to notice.) Once caught, Harvick was bumped down to 42nd.

Berrier showed little remorse after getting caught and stated to NASCAR.com that, "If we hadn't qualified in the top five they'd have never known, because they didn't check it," Berrier said with a grin Saturday morning.

"If I had to do it again, I'd still play it to try to get away with it, because I know how I got caught. I could tell you several ways I'd have gotten away with it. But at the end of the day, wrong is wrong…I guess.”

Berrier operates under the philosophy that asking for forgiveness is far better than asking for permission.

I'm not one to judge right or wrong, but that's damn funny! This guy should have his own T.V. show
