Even a ride on a road course wasn’t enough to slow down NASCAR gambling fans wondering if Busch’s wild ride will continue.
Busch is installed as the sportsbook favorite heading into New Hampshire at +500 on the NASCAR odds. Making things even tougher on Busch’s competition this weekend is that he already knows how to win at New Hampshire. Busch won this race back in 2006 and it would be more of a surprise if he failed to add another win to his total this weekend.
Last year at New Hampshire, Denny Hamlin won this race and he shares the next spot on the Jimmie Johnson. Edwards will be looking for his first career win at New Hampshire while Johnson has two career victories on the track, having swept both races there in 2003.
The leader in race wins at New Hampshire among this weekend’s field is Jeff Burton with four. Burton, who sits second in the standings 103 points behind Busch, owned this race from 1997 to 1999, winning it all three years. He also claimed the checkered flag in NASCAR’s other stop at New Hampshire in 2000. However, since Burton’s success at New Hampshire happened so many years ago, he’s quite an underdog to win again this weekend at +2500.
The same can be said for NASCAR odds.
