NASCAR betting - Take a shot at the Shelby 427
by Corey E

NASCAR betting enthusiasts will have the chance to cash in big time this weekend, as the good ol’ boys roll into Las Vegas. As we all know, Vegas is the place where you can win big, and this race will hold true to that adage.
The NASCAR lines, called Top 3 betting. This wager allows you to cash in if the driver you select simply finishes among the top three drivers on the day. Often times the NASCAR odds are watered down a little—but not by too much. There’s still a whole whack of value in the field that we haven’t touched on this week, especially in the Top 3 category.
Let’s take a look at a couple racers to have your eye on, and who have a great chance at turning in a solid, profitable performance for you
The Jack Daniel’s sponsored driver has been a straight shooter for several years now, closing in on nearly 100 consecutive starts without a DNF. Sometimes in NASCAR betting, all you can ask for is a chance, and Bowyer gives you one every single time his wheels hit the track. Granted, he hasn’t been tremendous in his appearances at Vegas, finishing 15th, 36th and 28th respectively. However, he is consistent enough, and has been successful enough on other tracks to sneak out a top three finish and make your account just a little bit bigger as of Sunday.
Kasey Kahne
Once the “hottest upcoming driver in NASCAR,” and the poster boy for the entire organization, Kahne took a bit of a slip last year in a disappointing campaign with Gillette Evernham Racing. Nonetheless, his talent hasn’t gone anywhere, and a fresh season may be all he needs to turn things around. One of the bright spots in his 2008 campaign was a sixth place finish here in Vegas, so this could be the ideal situation for him. Look for a strong run out of Kahne this week.
The wily veteran is fresh off a soap opera appearance on daytime television, and should be ready to go for Las Vegas. NASCAR betting sharps know that Burton is one of three drivers in the field who have won this race more than once, which is very important to consider when evaluating NASCAR odds. Burton is an excellent passer, and the wide track at Vegas will only benefit him. A strong run is a definite possibility for Burton this week.
