NBA Week 19 Hot or Not List - Suns Are Hot, Lakers, Celtics, Not

Okay pro basketball sports betting enthusiasts, another week of NBA hoops is in the record books, but another thrilling week awaits as the 2009-10 regular season continues moving toward what promises to be a thrilling finish in both conferences.
This week’s look at the hottest – and coldest – ATS team in the league is sure to put pro basketball betting enthusiasts on the right path toward making a plethora of winning NBA wagers all week long.
Keep in mind however, that this week’s Hot or Not list holds more than a few surprises.
Hot
These teams have covered the NBA betting odds at least four times in their last five games.
Milwaukee 5-0 ATS
So what the Bucks had their six-game winning streak snapped in Sunday’s 106-102 overtime loss to Atlanta – the Bucks are the hottest ATS team in all of basketball, having covered the spread in seven consecutive games heading into Monday night. Back-to-back games against the Wizards, followed by a home matchup against Cleveland are on the docket for the Bucks this week.
Phoenix 5-0 ATS
The Suns have their five-game winning streak snapped on Sunday, but have covered the NBA betting odds for backers in a league-best six straight games. The Suns play Denver, the L.A. Clippers and Utah this week.
Memphis 4-1 ATS
I know the Grizzlies have alternated SU wins and losses over each of their last eight games, but Memphis has also been very good against the spread this season. Heading into Monday night, the young Grizz had covered the NBA point spread in four of five and five of its last seven games overall. Dates against Portland and at New Orleans and Chicago are on the docket for Memphis this week.
Not
These teams have failed to cash in for pro basketball betting enthusiasts in four of their last five games.
LA Lakers 0-5 ATS
The Lakers may be the defending NBA champs – and still the best team in the league by far – but L.A. has cost bettors in a big way recently. The Lakers have failed to cover the NBA betting line in five straight games – before playing as a Push as 6-point home faves against the Nuggets on Sunday. A home game against Indiana and road dates at Miami and Charlotte are on tap for the Lakers this week.
Boston 1-4 ATS
Boston’s got big problems pro basketball betting enthusiasts! The Celtics have gone an uninspiring 1-3 SU over their last four while failing to cover the NBA money line in four straight games and eight of their last 10 games overall. The C’s have a good shot of picking up some ATS wins this week with road games at Detroit and Philadelphia sandwiched around a home date against Charlotte.
San Antonio 1-4 ATS
The Spurs have been far more disappointing than Boston this season, playing mediocre basketball all season long despite altering their roster last offseason in an effort to challenge the Lakers. San Antonio has failed to cash in for backers in two straight games – and five of their last six games overall. The Sours play New Orleans twice this week before hitting the road to face Memphis.
Toronto 1-4 ATS
The Raptors have lost three straight games while playing without team leader Chris Bosh while failing to cover the NBA point spread in four straight games heading into Monday night and five of six overall. Toronto could get back in the ATS win column this week as it plays at Houston before hosting New York and Philadelphia this week.
New Jersey 1-4 ATS
The Nets have lost five of six games while going 1-4 ATS over the last five games. Things could get even worse for the Nets as they face Cleveland and Orlando at home before hitting the road to take on the New York Knicks.
Houston 1-4 ATS
The Rockets are struggling after making several pre-deadline trades. Houston has lost four of five and seven of nine while failing to cover the NBA betting line in every loss. Home games against Toronto and Sacramento, followed by a road matchup at Minnesota could help the Rockets get untracked this week.
Atlanta 1-4 ATS
The high-flying, but inconsistent Hawks are arguably the most athletic team in the entire NBA, but often play without the focus they need, hence the poor ATS record pro hoops gamblers. The Hawks have gone 3-3 SU over their last six games but just 1-5 ATS during the bankroll-busting stretch. Atlanta plays at Chicago before coming home to host Philadelphia and Golden State this week.
