Young Bucks Take Aim At NBA Crown

The 2017-2018 NBA season is off to a hot start. The defending champions, Golden State Warriors look to outplay LeBron's Cavs and some new rising talent in the Association. Will it be a two horse race again in the NBA? Let's look ahead at some worthy NBA future bets for the '17-'18 season.

Odds to win Eastern Conference

Cleveland Cavaliers -250 - It is hard to imagine any other team winning the Eastern Conference the way LeBron and the Cavaliers have been going.

Boston Celtics +400 - Brad Stevens is an elite basketball coach. But, do they have the horses to contend, and we all that is the real question in the NBA.

Washington Wizards +700 - John Wall and Bradley Beal are elite backcourt mates in the nation's capital. Can they get over the hump and beat the likes of Cleveland and Boston is the biggest question.

Milwaukee Bucks +1000 - Milwaukee makes a case with the Greek Freek, but there are too many question marks with this young and inexperienced team.

Odds to win Western Conference

Golden State Warriors -375 - Seeking their fourth straight trip to the NBA Finals. Health is really the only thing standing in their way for 2017 - 2018.

Houston Rockets +500 - Chris Paul and James Harden make for a pretty darn good offensive team. Can anyone play defense in Houston?

Oklahoma City Thunder +1000 - This is a going to be a fun team to watch. The fans in Oklahoma City would love to see a Western Conference Finals against Golden State.

San Antonio Spurs +700 - Kawhi Leonard is a really good player, but there does not seem to be enough talent around him to win in the postseason.

Odds to win NBA Finals

Golden State Warriors -200 - Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and company are the odds on favorites to win the NBA title once again in 2018. The Warriors for the second straight season started slow with an opening loss, and Draymond Green starts the season hurt. Steve Kerr is not concerned with how many regular season games they win. This team is built to win in the postseason.

Cleveland Cavaliers +350 - If you are not betting on the Golden State Warriors, you have to take a look at LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving was shipped to Boston, and Isaiah Thomas is now the starting point guard. Cleveland will see some growing pains, and may settle in at close to 50 wins in the regular season, but much like Golden State, they are built for the postseason.

Boston Celtics +1400 - The addition of Kyrie Irving was a huge move in an offseason that saw a ton of player action. Irving will lead an offense that will be without Gordon Hayward. Hayward was hurt in the opening loss to Cleveland. Boston at +800 sees a bit of a stretch to win it, as they just do not seem ready to take down either the Cavaliers or the Warriors in a playoff series.

Oklahoma City Thunder +1600 - The second team in the Western Conference is now once again the Oklahoma City Thunder. After a season without Kevin Durant that saw Russell Westbrook pretty much do everything, the Thunder have reloaded. Oklahoma City added stars Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to the mix. This team will be fun to watch. They are the closest thing to being able to match the Golden State big 3.

Houston Rockets +800 - Finally, to round out the Top 5 to win the NBA Finals is James Harden and the Houston Rockets. Chris Paul was added to this roster, but his early season injury has fans wondering about his health for the season. Look for Houston to be an impressive scoring team, but when push comes to shove - can they defend enough?
