NBA Betting – NBA’s Coldest Teams ATS

The NBA BetUS Sportsbook NBA bettors to start the second half of the season:

(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (ATS RECORD) (ATS RECORD L/5 -$$)

Detroit Pistons (27-28) (20-35 ATS) (0-5 ATS L/5 -$550): The Pistons closed out the first half of the NBA betting season as the 4th worst bet in the NBA, and find themselves in the top spot this week after dropping each of its last seven games both SU & ATS. Motown has fallen upon hard times, but GM Joe Dumars has his eye on the future rather than the here and now. Still, Detroit has been putrid of late getting outscored by an average of close to 10 points per game in its L/5 with the offense failing to surpass the 100-point plateau in eight of its L/10 overall. The defense is still there though; currently ranked 5th in the league surrendering an average of 94.3 PPG, but it can only do so much considering the offense has averaged less than that (#29 at 93.1 PPG). The Pistons will close out the month on the road at New Orleans, Orlando, and Boston before returning home to battle Western Conference foes Denver and Golden State. Hopefully a cover is in there somewhere for Detroit backers, but its recent play states otherwise.

2) Philadelphia 76ers (27-28) (25-28-2 ATS) (0-5 ATS L/5 -$550): After clawing to three games over .500 before the break with a non-covering home win against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Sixers have stumbled since losing all four of their sports betting contests both SU & ATS. The first three losses of this prolonged losing streak never saw them challenge for the “W”, but their last loss against New Jersey was simply gut wrenching. Up 96-95 with a couple seconds left, NJ guard Devein Harris double-clutched a shot from half-court that unbelievably hit nothing but net. If the shot would’ve missed, Philly still would’ve lost ATS since the line closed at 2.5-points, but they would have put an end to their three game SU losing streak and headed to Washington looking to sweep the regular season series. Now they have to turn the page on that devastating loss and take it to the Wizards on Wednesday night before closing out the four-game road trip against the NY Knicks on Friday.

3) Los Angeles Clippers (14-43) (23-34 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340): While the Clippers find themselves in a solid position to get the #1 pick in the 2009 NBA draft, Los Angeles continues to bury its betting backers after churning out a 1-4 ATS mark its last five games. They were outscored by 15 points per game during that stretch as Phoenix posted 140 & 142 points against their defense in back-to-back games, and then Portland dropped 116 while holding them to a paltry 87 points. They took advantage of a Monta Ellis-less Golden State team their last time out to halt their ATS losing streak at five, but their 24th ranked defense (103.8 PPG) still allowed the Warriors to surpass the century mark with ease (118-105). Thankfully the Staples Center has another team sharing time there this season to give Tinsel town a product actually worth seeing when it visits the venue.

And the rest….

4) Oklahoma City Thunder (21-34) (21-32-2 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340):

5) Atlanta Hawks (13-40) (22-31 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340):

6) New Jersey Nets (32-21) (23-29-1 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340):
