NBA Betting Trends for Wizards vs Bucks game

Bookmark and Share by Charles Jay

Washington has not been a contender all year, but the Wizards are trying to turn things in the right direction. They have turned over the roster and started to get results from some of the new players they were giving extra playing time to.

One of those players is Andray Blatche, the 6'11" forward/center from Syracuse (the city, not the university - in fact, he didn't go to college) who is averaging 11.1 points on the season but has become nothing less than a force of nature lately.

Since becoming a starter, Blatche has averaged 26.6 points and ten rebounds. In a win against New Jersey on Sunday, Blatche had a season-high 36 points to go with 15 rebounds.

NBA Pro Basketball Lines: MILWAUKEE -10, Total 193.5

Here are some of the basketball trends for the Washington Wizards:

  • WASH has covered seven of its last nine games
  • WASH has played ten of its last 13 games UNDER the total
  • WASH has covered four of its last five road games
  • WASH has lost 17 of its last 25 road games SU
  • WASH has played five of its last six road games UNDER the total

Here are some of the NBA trends for the Milwaukee Bucks:

  • MIL is 6-0-1 ATS in its last seven games
  • MIL has won six of its last seven games SU
  • MIL has played eleven of its last 16 games UNDER the total
  • MIL has covered seven of its last nine home games
  • MIL has won nine of its last 11 home games SU
  • MIL has played five of its last seven home games UNDER the total

When it comes to the playoff picture, the Bucks are right there. Scott Skiles' team, in climbing over the .500 mark, is seventh in the Eastern Conference playoff queue, and has fifth-place Toronto within its sights. They need to beat out only the Miami Heat or Charlotte Bobcats to get to the post-season, and it has been a nice feat to do it without Michael Redd.

The Bucks have won six of seven and is 6-0-1 ATS in the NBA pro basketball lines its last seven games. They are coming off a loss at Atlanta on Sunday in which they covered the 8.5-point spread.

Here are some of the head-to-head sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

  • MIL has covered five of the last six meetings
  • MIL has won four of the last six meetings SU
  • Six of the last eight meetings have gone OVER the total
  • MIL has won 16 of the last 21 meetings SU as the home team
  • Four of the last six meetings in Milwaukee have gone OVER the total
  • MIL has had the rebounding edge in six of the last eight meetings

It's starting to really get exciting for Bucks fans, who have seen a much more balanced lineup emerge. In seven games with the team, John Salmons has averaged 20 points a game, and he is a better defender than Redd was. Brandon Jennings, very much in the running for the rookie of the year award, has toned down his shooting and is concentrating more on distributing the ball; he has 36 assists and just seven turnovers in his last six games.

The key guy in this game for Milwaukee might be Andrew Bogut, the former #1 overall draft choice who is like a rock in the middle these days, doing some of the things he was drafted for. Bogut has chalked up double-digit rebounds in six of the last seven games, and has averaged 3.6 blocked shots in his last seven. The Bucks are going to need him here, as he has what it takes to neutralize Blatche to some extent.

Wait a minute! You're telling me that Jerry Stackhouse, who came to Beer City from oblivion, has scored 16 and 20 points off the bench in the last two games? That's when you KNOW things are going right.

We're not making this a big play, because not many teams have run and hid against the Wizards of late. But the Bucks have been consistent when it comes to getting the money (37-21-1 ATS, 17-10 ATS at home), so we take a shot laying points in the NBA pro basketball lines.
