NBA: Cavs Top Power Rankings After All-Star Break
Now that the All-Star game is over, bet on the NBA again.
The NBA should be the focal point of almost any bettor’s strategy until baseball starts up in April. That means that paying attention to against the spread records is a must if gamblers intend on making money betting the NBA.
Let’s take a look at the power rankings.
NBA: Power Rankings
- Cleveland Cavaliers 33-18 ATS - - The Cavs stumbled in three straight games before destroying the Phoenix Suns at home 109 to 92. That should have righted the ship. With games coming up against Toronto, Milwaukee and Detroit, Cleveland should once again be the top betting team in the NBA.
- San Antonio Spurs 25-24-2 ATS - - Don’t let their overall record against the spread fool you. The Spurs have gone 6-1-1 in their last 8 games. That means they are on a serious roll.
- Orlando Magic 33-17-1 ATS - - The Magic didn’t cover in their last game against the Denver Nuggets losing by 11 points at home, but they get to play the Charlotte Bobcats before taking on the New Orleans Hornets on the road. The Magic should be able to handle Charlotte ATS. The game against the Hornets will be a good one.
- Denver Nuggets 30-22-1 ATS - - After the debacle in New Jersey, the Nuggets bounced back with key victories straight-up and against the spread versus the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic. Denver looks like they’ve got their mojo back.
- Los Angeles Lakers 25-22 ATS - - They were spectacular against both Boston and Cleveland but then they lost two straight games against the spread versus the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz. They can start a new ATS winning streak against Golden State and Atlanta in their next two games.
- Boston Celtics 31-24 ATS - - After their loss to San Antonio straight-up and ATS, they bounced back with victories against the New Orleans Hornets and Dallas Mavericks. Sure, some doubt their ability to handle the top teams in league against the spread but beating the Hornets and Mavericks on the road is not easy.
- Oklahoma City Thunder 33-20 ATS - - Still afraid to pull the trigger on this team against the spread? Bettors shouldn’t be after they beat the spread against the Los Angeles Lakers. With games coming up against New Orleans, Phoenix and the Lakers again, there are plenty of chances to take the points and ride with the Thunder.
- Milwaukee Bucks 31-22-2 ATS - - They’ve started to win games straight-up to go along with their terrific against the spread record. Beating Houston and Indiana isn’t easy but the Bucks did it. Could they become a surprise team in the Eastern Conference Playoffs?
- Portland Trailblazers 25-26 ATS - - Portland should be better than their ATS record indicates. They lost three games in a row against the spread in the past two weeks and did drop a game ATS versus the Golden State Warriors. With Memphis, Atlanta and the L.A. Clippers coming up, the Trailblazers should at least get over .500 against the spread.
- Charlotte Bobcats 33-22 ATS - - The Bobcats are on fire sports betting wise after going 3 and 0 against the spread in their last 3 games. They’ve got some tough ones coming up, but they should keep it going with that defensive mentality Larry Brown has instilled.
