NBA Sports Betting - Teams to Bet on the UNDER
by Mike Rose

The BetUS Sportsbook throughout the last week of action:
(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (O/U RECORD) (O/U RECORD L/5 +$$)
1) San Antonio Spurs (30-14) (18-25 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290): After playing to the ‘over’ in four straight from January 8-14, the ‘under’ has cashed in Spurs games in five of their last six contests. The lone ‘over’ came their last time out against Utah whose been marred with a funk at both ends of the court of late. Now’s the time when HC Popovich’s club goes on a run to cement its placement in the Southwest Division, and with that comes the SA brand of ball that looks to shut opposing offenses down every time they dribble the ball up the court. Their sixth ranked defense, currently allowing an average of 93.9 PPG, has been especially feisty of late limiting its opponents to 91 or less points in four of their L/6 outings. Look for them to have their hands full against a desperate Phoenix team on Thursday night before closing the week out in what should be a grind it out affair against the New Orleans Hornets.
2) Philadelphia 76ers (22-22) (18-24 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290): Save for the fast paced scorcher against the NY Knicks last Saturday, the Sixers have been a golden goose for NBA bettors enamored with betting on low scoring games. The ‘under’ has cashed in 24 of Philly’s 42 games played this season, and it went a $$$-making 4-1 ATS this past week. The Sixers barley outscored their opponents 99.4-99.2 during that stretch, but three of those five games were lined at 200 or higher. Expect the ‘under’ to continue cashing at a lucrative clip as long as Philly continues to stink it up from beyond the arc (32.6% #29) and at the free throw line (74.4% #27). That said; the offense should be able to get healthy against both Washington and New Jersey in its next two contests, so it will be up to the defense to keep this ‘under’ team in check.
3) Phoenix Suns (25-18) (23-19 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290) What the heck is going on in the desert? Steve Nash and company used to be one of the most exciting acts in the NBA, but now you never know what you’re going to get. Will it be the up and down outscore your opponent at all costs version of the Suns, or will it be the club that managed to post just 76 points against the Charlotte Bobcats like they did back on Friday night? The offense still ranks 5th in the league averaging a shade under 104 PPG and the defense still gives up just as much, but the teams inability to have a set five man starting rotation with the resting of Shaq has really played a role in the Suns to gain any consistency. This has led to the erratic play we’ve seen from them all season long. That said; don’t expect this team to be on this list next week since after SA on Thursday night, they go up against defense optional teams in Chicago, Sacramento, and Golden State.
And the rest…..
4) New Orleans Hornets (28-14) (17-24 O/U) (2-3 O/U L/5 +$80):
5) Washington Wizards (9-36) (17-26 O/U) (2-3 O/U L/5 +$80)
6) Detroit Pistons (25-19) (17-26 O/U) (2-3 O/U L/5 +$80)
