NBA Teams Filling the Basket - Hottest OVER Teams

The NBA sports betting season is in full swing at BetUS Sportsbook, and the following teams have been hot for NBA ‘Over’ bettors throughout the last week of action:

(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (O/U RECORD) (O/U RECORD L/5 +$$)

1) San Antonio Spurs (33-15) (22-25 O/U) (5-0 O/U L/5 +$500): The Spurs have been very streaky in the ‘totals’ department for NBA bettors over the last three weeks of sports betting action. After rattling off four straight over’s from January 8th to the 16th, the Spurs went on to cash ‘under’ bettors tickets in their next five games played. Then they streaked the other way last week as all five of their games combined to go over the closing ‘total.’ They surpassed the 100-point plateau in four of the five games, which in turn increased their offensive rank to #20 in the league at 97.6 PPG. They have four days off before closing out the first half of the season on the road against Boston, New Jersey, and Toronto.

2) Los Angeles Clippers (10-38) (28-20 O/U) (4-1 O/U L/5 +$290): A thin bench and the league’s 22nd ranked defense that’s allowed opponents an average of just over 101 PPG has attributed to the Clippers recent ‘over’ trend that’s seen it cash in seven of LA’s last 10 games. It cashed in four of their five contests last week, which started at home in a game against Portland where the Clippers fell by a 113-88 final count. The combined 201 points easily surpassed the 187-point closing ‘total.’ The “Clip Joint’s” defense has surrendered 100+ points in seven of its L/8 overall contests. Look for that streak to extend right through the All Star break with games scheduled against Orlando, Memphis, Atlanta, Charlotte, and New York. With its star players seemingly dropping any given night, look for the over’s to continue to cash as fatigue starts to play a bigger role than it already has.

3) Indiana Pacers (19-30) (31-17 O/U) (4-1 O/U L/5 +$290): If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it! The Pacers continued to play its matador defense last week, and because of it, the ‘over’ cashed in four of their five games played. The only game that failed to surpass the ‘total’ came against Milwaukee in one of the first games played without the services of stud guard Michael Redd. The Pacers are now the best ‘over’ bet in the NBA after it’s cashed in 31 of their 48 games played. With Valentine’s Day just 10 days away, secret admirers of this high scoring team better get their chocolate and flowers ready just so they don’t infuriate the Pacers and force them to play any semblance of defense. Until then, keep hitting the ‘over’ with regularity until the oddsmakers start posting absurd numbers.

4) New York Knicks (21-26) (20-27 O/U) (4-1 O/U L/5 +$290): It’s about time D’Antoni’s club started making money for ‘over’ bettors! The Knicks boast a profitable mark to the ‘under’ to date, but these guys have really turned the intensity up on the offensive end of the court to see the ‘over’ cash in five of their L/7 games played. Oddsmakers continuously posted bad lines early on in the season that the Knicks just weren’t able to overcome, but since the numbers have fallen, NY’s been $$$ in this department. The team is now the rightful owner of the 5th best offense in the league that’s averaging a shade over 104 PPG. They equaled or surpassed that mark in each of their L/7 games played, and will look to continue flexing their offensive muscles vs. Cleveland and Boston at home before closing out the first half of the season on the west coast. Look for some outrageously high point totals on that trip…

And the rest….

5) Los Angeles Lakers (38-9) (29-18 O/U) (4-1 O/U L/5 +$290)

6) Boston Celtics (41-9) (22-27 O/U) (4-1 O/U L/5 +$290)
