NBA Betting: New Hornets vs. Goldan State Warriors
by Mike Rose

A pair of teams that are rebuilding towards a brighter 2010-11 campaign do battle by the bay in a Wednesday night NBA betting clash between the New Orleans Hornets and the Golden State Warriors.
The Hornets are in the midst of a five-game West Coast swing in which they have already started 1-1 both SU and ATS.
Golden State may be a perfect 3-0 ATS in the first three games of this four-game home stand, but it is only 1-2 SU in those three NBA betting battles.
New Orleans Hornets (33-35, 31-36-1 ATS) vs. Golden State Warriors (18-48, 38-27-1 ATS)
NBA Odds:
New Orleans Hornets +4
Golden State Warriors -4
Game Total 228
The Hornets are just nothing without G Chris Paul and F Peja Stojakovic in the lineup. F David West is left to carry the load on his own two shoulders, as he is averaging 19.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
G Darren Collison has been a very big bright spot for this club since Paul has gone out, but no matter how well the UCLA product has played, he's still no CP3. Collison has double-doubles in three straight and six out of eight, including a 20-assist performance against these Warriors back on the 8th. He also has two 30+ point showings since the end of February.
There's no doubt about the fact that the Warriors are going to run up and down the court for a full 48 minutes, but there's a big question about how well G Monta Ellis and G Stephen Curry are playing on the court together.
The duo did score 42 combined points and dish out a total of 20 assists in the narrow loss at home to the Lakers on Monday night.
Ellis is leading the team in scoring with 25.4 points per game, but Curry is slowly catching up, as he is at 16.4 points per game and is starting to make a major name for himself in this high-octane system.
NBA Insider Betting Tip: New Orleans is just 4-10-1 ATS in its L/15 NBA betting duels against the Warriors.
New Orleans has just totally fallen from grace out of the playoff picture in the Western Conference. It has gone just 2-7 SU and 1-7-1 ATS in its L/9 games overall.
Compare that to a Golden State team that may be an identical 2-7 SU in its L/9 games, but it is a notably different 7-2 ATS in those nine.
The Hornets captured a 135-131 win when these two teams squared off in the Bayou a week and a half ago for one of those two SU victories for them, but the Warriors won the ATS battle, covering the six-point line.
New Orleans also has a 123-110 win at ORACLE Arena in another 108-102 win at home against these Warriors this year.
Golden State won't let itself get swept in this season series. The Warriors continue to be one of the scrappiest teams in the NBA, and the Hornets, who have probably had enough of these long road trips this season, are willingly probably going to reward Golden State's stick-to-it mentality with a gracious defeat tonight.
