McDyess played a monster game, and made the Pistons play better as a team overall. If anything, McDyess bought them time as this basketball betting series returns to Boston as a best-of-three. The Pistons are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games when playing Boston, but are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games at the Garden.
That doesn’t bode well for a Boston team that is 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games at home. Boston has been cut down to mediocrity, in a sense, because they’ve essentially become a two-man show. Ray Allen is freaking useless.
Not to say that your “two men” KG and The Truth are a bad thing, but if you really break it down, Boston boasts two All-Stars and a slew of role players. Detroit boasts four legitimate starters, one of the best clutch players in the game in Billups and a fearless leader named Rasheed Wallace who put in 14 points in the last game.
If you asked me to bet on the basketball betting moneyline, I would go with Boston, which has been virtually untouchable at home. But if I had money on this game, I like Detroit with the points. They are simply playing too strong right now, and are finding ways to illuminate the fact that Boston is not the awesome entity that people have set them up to be.
