The Spurs host the Cavs to open what could be a classic series. Either a King will be crowned, or a dynasty will continue to further its legacy. Tonight, we will find out if the Cavaliers have the moxy to take on the highly favored Spurs.

Forget the fact that the Cavs beat San Antonio twice during the regular season. Forget the fact that Lebron posterized Duncan on a deadly drive to the basket. This is the Finals we are talking about.

The overwhelming emotions that the Cavs are facing tonight will get the better of them. Mike Brown’s offensive game plan relies on Hughes and Gibson hitting those open shots that Lebron gives them. Tonight, the importance of those shots will make them too big to fit through the rim.

For the Spurs, their experience will pay off in game one. They are a time-tested team that can beat you in so many ways. From Finley to Bowen to Horry to Duncan, they have too much veteran experience to fold in the pressure of the Finals.

Look for Duncan to be the focal point of the Spurs offense, until he dishes out to the perimeter where the Spurs really ram that nail in to the coffin. They are a terrific perimeter shooting team.

The only player perhaps ready for the coming war is LeBron, who has the ability to take over the game. He is the reason the Cavs will stay in the running, but for now bet on the Spurs to take game one and cover.
