Tonight’s matchup between the Phoenix Suns (59-19, 27-12 A) could turn out to be a preview of a Western Conference playoff matchup.
The Suns (42-35-1 ATS) have recently gotten back to their winning ways, after a mini-slump that lasted approximately a week.
Utah, at the time of writing, was riding a five-game losing streak heading into a Friday night game against the Dallas Mavericks.
More importantly, with the playoffs only a week away, the Jazz are playing lethargically, as demonstrated by losing three of their five straight to teams with losing records: Seattle.
If the Jazz (34-40-4 ATS) don’t get their act together quickly, they could be looking at a quick playoff exit, despite winning the Northwest division title.
I think Utah will be so starved for a victory that they will beat Phoenix here out of desperation if nothing else.
Bettors should be forewarned that the Suns are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against NBA Northwest division teams and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600.
Utah is 4-0 ATS in their last four games against .a team with a winning straight up (SU) record and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a winning road record.
