NBA Picks: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Houston Rockets

Western Conference rivals that are fighting it out for the last few open playoff spots collide at the Toyota Center on Wednesday night. BetUS Sportsbook has all of the information you need to know to make your NBA picks on the clash between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets.

The Grizz are the slightest bit closer to the Trail Blazers than are the Rockets right now, as they're only 5.5 games outside of the playoff picture.

Houston is a half game behind Memphis and really might need to win this game to have any realistic chance of making a run to get to the postseason.

Memphis Grizzlies (36-32, 35-31-2 ATS) vs. Houston Rockets (34-31, 30-35 ATS)

NBA Odds:

Memphis Grizzlies +5
Houston Rockets -5

Game Total 214.5

Finding some offensive firepower certainly hasn't been an issue for the Grizzlies this season. They've averaged 102.5 points per game, which is the seventh best mark in the NBA.

Of late, that number has been even higher. Memphis has reached the 100+ point plateau in three straight games, and its 104-97 win against Chicago last night was the lowest scoring game of the five. The Grizzlies are averaging 109.8 points per game on this stretch.

Fs Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay are pacing the team in scoring at 20.7 and 19.8 points per game respectively. Randolph is averaging a double-double, bringing in 11.8 boards per night.

C Hasheem Thabeet is coming off of the best game he has played since returning from the D-League. He put up ten points and nine boards in 28 minutes worth of game time against the Bulls last night.

The Rockets finally look like they've figured out how they're going to gel their lineup together with all of their new faces, but it may be too little, too late.

G Kevin Martin put up 29 points Wednesday night against Denver, making him one of three players to score at least 20 on the team.

F Luis Scola was one of the three, as he put up 23 points on the heels of his 44 point showing against the Nets.

Scola has been particularly hot of late both scoring and on the glass. He has six straight double-doubles and has averaged a borderline comical 25.7 points and 14.5 rebounds per game since he has caught fire.

Houston enters this NBA betting tilt having won three straight games SU (2-1 ATS).

NBA Insider Betting Tip: The Rockets are 6-2 ATS in their L/8 games against the Southwest Division.

This is a tough scheduling spot for the Grizz, who were playing at home against Chicago last night.

Houston also appears to just have the Grizzlies' number at this point, winning the L/3 meetings by an average of 17.7 points per game.

The most recent beat down was issued in Memphis back on February 5th, when the Rockets left town with a comfortable 101-83 victory in tote.

There's no reason to think that the dominance in this series won't continue. Our NBA picks are on the Rockets to roar back a bit closer to the playoffs.
