The T’Wolves travel to Houston to take on a Rockets team that is just trying to maintain their standing in the Western Conference. The Rockets aren’t nearly as flawless as they were during that 22 game win streak, but they continue to win games straight-up. Against the BetUS spread, Houston has come back to earth. At one time this team was something ridiculous like 19 and 1 in their last 20 games. Right now the Rockets are 5 and 5 in their last 10 games against the BetUS spread.
The T’Wolves are an absolute mess. But, surprisingly, they’ve done okay against the BetUS spread going 5 and 5 in their last 10 games. This includes a terrific win the other night versus the New York Knicks. The T’Wolves scored 114 points in that game. That was very surprising.

The Rockets had a two game stretch versus New Orleans, two excellent defensive teams, where they scored only 74 and 69 points, but that seems like an exception to the rule.
The rule is that the Rockets can score a lot of points when motivated. They should definitely be motivated. Every game from now until the end of the regular season means something, that’s how tight the Western Conference is. Tracey McGrady should be okay for this game even though he tweaked his ankle the other night. Even an okay McGrady is good enough for the Rockets to not only cover the spread but for this game to go over.
