Pro Basketball Predictions – Pierce, Celtics Look Like Lock Against Blatche, Wizards

The Boston Celtics are trying to get back on track before the start of the postseason and won two straight games heading into Friday night.
This evening, Boston looks like a good bet to win again when they host the Washington Wizards at TD Garden.
Sunday, March 7, 8:00 PM ET
TV: ESPN, Comcast SportsNet
Washington (21-37 SU, 24-32-2 ATS, 22-35 O/U)
Boston (38-21 SU, 23-35-1 ATS, 28-30 O/U)
Boston 411
The Celtics looked pretty solid in routing the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday but have been mediocre at best on their home floor this season, going 17-11 SU and a bankroll-breaking 7-20-1 ATS at home.
The Celtics average just 98.7 points per game (19th) but are the top-ranked defensive team in the league (94.1 ppg).
Washington 411
The Wizards have played much better since trading former stars Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison and have been getting fantastic contributions from athletic forward Andray Blatche despite going 1-3 SU and ATS in their last four games heading into Friday night. Washington averages 97.9 points per game (21st) while allowing 101.5 points per game defensively (21st).
Analysis: The Boston Celtics have won both meetings against the Wizards this season, including a 99-88 win as 5.5-point road favorites.
The Celtics will undoubtedly be favored by more than five points in this contest but should be able to handle a spread all the way up to 10 points if you ask me.
Boston has played much better basketball as of late and are the correct pick to cash in against a Wizards team that has come back to earth a bit as of late following their massive fire sale just before the annual trade deadline.
