NBA Preseason Free Pick – Boston Celtics at New Jersey Nets
The defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night as energetic backup forward Leon Powe rejected a game-tying lay-up attempt by Cavs backup Vernon Hamilton’s with 4.2 seconds remaining to preserve the Celtics’ victory in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Powe scored a game-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting and Boston scored 30 first quarter points before struggling in the second, scoring just 17 points in the period.
