NBA Spread Betting Picks – Los Angeles Lakers Visit Golden State Warriors

Undoubtedly this is a matchup pitting one of the best teams in the NBA against one of the worst, but the opposite is true when it comes to NBA spread betting. The Lakers have bounced back from a three-game losing skid to win their past two games against Phoenix and Toronto. The problem for them, as always, is beating the betting line which isn’t something they’ve exactly managed to do against Golden State.
Kobe and the Lakers are 8-2 SU in the past 10 games against Golden State, but the Warriors have managed to go 5-5 ATS during those meetings. In three games this season, the Warriors are 2-1 ATS and 0-3 SU against the Lakers so the moneyline is a strict no-no.
However, though Golden State continues to gear up for a top pick in the NBA Draft, their betting backers have been reaping the rewards of this high scoring home team throughout the year. Golden State is 4-2 ATS in their past 6 games at Oracle Arena and are 4-1 ATS in their past 5 games overall. Coming off a huge win over the Toronto Raptors will give them a ton of momentum heading in to another dust-up with the Lakers.

The Lakers are also a very troublesome bet, especially on the road. In their past 12 games overall they’re just 3-8-1 ATS and on the road they’ve gone just 2-4 ATS recently.
The fact that they’re 1-4 SU shouldn’t matter because Kobe won’t tolerate losing to a team that only has 18-wins on its resume, but clearing the spread has been a big issue for this betting public favorite.
Injuries continue to be the big story for Golden State which will be without Anthony Randolph, Kelenna Azubuike, Andris Biedrins and Raja Bell. At the same time this is a team that loves torching the scoreboard at home. Golden State ranks third in offense when playing on home court, scoring 110.6 points per game.
The Lakers’ tumble to tenth with 99.9 points per game on the road, so this one is an easy pick for me.
Until the Lakers string some positive returns on the betting line together, I am going against them for the interim.
