NBA Tuesday Parlay: Suns vs. Rockets and Clippers vs. Hornets
Tip-off: Clippers and Hornets at 8:05 pm EST and Suns and Rockets at 8:35 pm EST
The Phoenix Suns travel to Houston to take on the Lakers slayers, AKA the Houston Rockets, while the New Orleans Hornets in the two best betting games of the night.
The Hornets are in serious disarray as they replaced former coach Byron Scott with the general manager, Jeff Bower. That’s right. The GM in New Orleans decided to replace the coach that made the Hornets competitive with…himself. Uh…really?
L.A. Clippers vs. New Orleans Hornets
Tip-off: 8:05 pm EST
NBA betting line: New Orleans -1 ½
Analysis: Run, don’t walk, run to the windows. Okay, click on the BetUS sportsbook link and get your wagers down on the L.A. Clippers to beat the Hornets in this game.
First of all, there’s no way that Jeff Bower is going to get these guys to play harder than Byron Scott did. Are you kidding me? Jeff Bower? Second of all, and this is a big one, Chris Paul is out for this game. That’s right the 3 and 8 Hornets are taking on the 4 and 7 Clippers without their top player, Chris Paul.
The Clippers, meanwhile, have three guys that scored in double figures in their last game: Al Thornton, Chris Kaman and Baron Davis. Yes, shooting guard Eric Gordon will not suit up for the Clips, but Baron Davis doesn’t have to deal with Chris Paul. This is the bet of the night. I’m going with the Clippers.
Pick: L.A. Clippers at +1 ½
Phoenix Suns vs. Houston Rockets
Tip-off: 8:35 pm EST
NBA odds: Houston -2 ½
Analysis: Sure, the Houston won’t be able to run with the Suns who look like the Suns of old with Amare Stoudemire, Grant Hill and Steve Nash all playing exceptionally well. Shooting guard Jason Richardson, who grabbed 10 rebounds in the Suns last game, isn’t too shabby either.
The Suns have road victories over the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76’ers while the Rockets have home losses to the Lakers and the lowly Sacramento Kings in their game before the victory in L.A. How can they possibly be favored in this game?
I don’t see it either.
Pick: Phoenix Suns at +2 ½
