NBA Western Conference Betting – Lakers vs. Kings
by Tim Furious

If you’ve been a fan of basketball, then you know that the Kings-Lakers rivalry is one of the best in the NBA’s history. If any player on the Kings has the power to force Sacramento back in to the playoff fold, it’s Tyreke Evans. The crowd at ARCO is always nasty whenever Kobe comes to visit and tonight will be no exception. For the NBA betting line, a 6-point line in favor of the Lakers is as juicy as it gets for both sides.
Kobe and the Lakers may continue to win games, but they do so at the cost of their betting backers. Los Angeles is just 3-9-1 ATS in the past 13 games and are 2-5 ATS in their past 7 on the road. Case in point is the betting loss to the Golden State Warriors, despite the Lakers winning 124-121.
Before you counter with the argument that Golden State is a ridiculous home offense, I should probably remind you that Sacramento is ranked 8th in home scoring with 104.5 points per game and the consistency provided by Carl Landry, who has 17.1 points per game for Sacramento, has given the Kings some betting line stability.
Los Angeles Lakers (49-19) vs. Sacramento Kings (23-44)
Tuesday, March 16th --- ARCO Arena --- 10:00pm EST
NBA Betting Line: Lakers -6 (206)
In fact, Sacramento has recently begun to thrive as a professional basketball betting pick. They’re 8-2 ATS in their past 10 games. Even more promising is that they’re 4-2 ATS and SU in the past 6 games at ARCO Arena. That eighth ranked scoring offense is looking more enticing, isn’t it?
As I said last night against Golden State, you simply can not trust the Lakers as a betting team on the road until they start confidently winning games. The reason I called this line “juicy” before is because it’s sure to ignite both sides of the line. Hey, if you’re going to bet on the Lakers no matter what trends, metrics and words I throw at you, then go for it. A reduced line works in their favor.
But I’m taking the Kings and the smart basketball betting man would too. Their crowd is electric at home and Tyreke Evans is a matchup nightmare for the Lakers, especially if he pulls Kobe in to defending him which just frees of his shooting specialists in to action. You’ve been warned.
