Best NBA Matchup of the Week and Betting Pick

There are several terrific games on the NBA schedule for this week, but one on Friday night sticks out. The Milwaukee Bucks will host the Golden State Warriors, who will no doubt have revenge on their minds. The Warriors were blown out by the Bucks at home earlier this season, losing by a score of 134-111.

The Warriors had a disappointing month of November, and enter this week in second place in the Pacific Division. Golden State ended the month by losing two straight games to fall to a record of 15-9. The Bucks are in control of the Central Division, and enter the month of December with a 15-7 record. Milwaukee should be favored in this matchup against the Warriors.

Curry Back For Warriors

The Golden State Warriors were without Stephen Curry for much of November, but he has made his return to the court. Curry is averaging 29.3 points per game this season, while making nearly 50 percent of his three point attempts. Golden State is averaging more than 27 assists per game, which is the best total in the NBA. Look for the Warriors offense to start firing on all cylinders again with Curry in the mix.

Kevin Durant did all he could to keep the Warriors in first place in the absence of Curry. Durant leads the team with 30 points and 7.8 rebounds this season. Golden State needs to get back to being one of the top defenses in the NBA if they are going to win another title. The Warriors are giving up an average of 111.5 points per game, which is below league average. Golden State lacks a true rim protector which could hurt them in this game.

Antetokounmpo Putting Up Huge Numbers

Giannis Antetokounmpo is putting up monster numbers in leading the Bucks to one of the best records in the NBA. The "Greek Freak" is leading the team with 27.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 6 assists per game, while shooting close to 58 percent from the field. Antetokounmpo will put a ton of pressure on the Warriors defense in this game, just as he did in the first meeting. He will likely also guard Kevin Durant in this matchup in what will be a showdown of star forwards.

While the "Greek Freak" has been the star, the Bucks have plenty of support. Milwaukee leads the NBA with over 121 points per game, and they have five different players averaging more than 11 points per game. Khris Middleton is shooting better than 40 percent from the three point line, and is averaging 18.5 points per game. The Bucks have plenty of offensive firepower to win this game.

Golden State Beats Milwaukee

Milwaukee used the first matchup between these two teams to prove to the NBA that they are for real. Look for the Warriors to use this matchup to show the NBA that they are back. Golden State will have an edge to them in this game, and Curry should have most of the rust off by this point. This should be a high scoring affair, but the Warriors will come out on top. Bet Golden State to beat the Bucks in Milwaukee on Friday night.
