Let the Madness Begin - NCAA Tournament Preview

The NCAAB Tournament begins this Thursday. For most BetUS sportsbook is going to be there for every single one of those games.
The most surprising thing about this year’s tournament? Three of the top four seeds belong to the Big East. That’s how good the Big East conference was during the regular season. The other top seed belongs to North Carolina from the ACC.
Let’s take a quick peak at each of the four brackets.
NCAAB: Tournament Preview
Midwest Bracket
#1 Louisville Cardinals
Analysis: Louisville deserved to get this number one seed after beating Syracuse this past Saturday for the Big East Conference Tournament Championship. Since Louisville was also the best team in the Big East during the regular season, a number one seed makes perfect sense. Will Louisville march into the Final Four? Maybe, but this march madness bracket is ultra-tough with #2 seed Michigan State, #3 Kansas and #4 seed Wake Forest all being able to make a case for themselves. I’m partial to the Spartans of Michigan State who did exactly what I thought they would do in the Big Ten Conference Tournament - - lose early because they are already focusing on March Madness. Outside of the top four seeds, the Trojans of USC, who won the Pac-10 Conference Tournament, look like the most dangerous contenders.
Pick For Now: #2 Michigan State Spartans
Long Shot Pick for Now: #10 USC Trojans
West Bracket
#1 Connecticut Huskies
Analysis: The Huskies got a number one seed even though they lost to Syracuse in that 6 period overtime thriller last week. The Huskies also lost to Pittsburgh twice this season. Luckily for them, Pitt got a number one seed themselves, so Connecticut won’t have to face them in the West bracket. UConn is a terrific team but they have to face #2 Memphis in the West as well as #5 Purdue, who won the Big-Ten tournament this past Sunday, and #3 Missouri who won the Big 12 tournament This is a tough, tough bracket to find the winner, but Memphis is playing better than any team in the nation right now. The best long shot pick right now appears to be Marquette who was ranked in the top 20 for most of the season. They get into the West Bracket as a #6 seed.
Pick For Now: #2 Memphis Tigers
Long Shot Pick for Now: #6 Marquette Golden Eagles
East Bracket
#1 Pittsburgh Panthers
Analysis: Pittsburgh played about as well as any team in the nation during the regular season which is why even though they were upset in the Big East Tournament, they are the top seed in the East Bracket. Pitt is loaded with talent and nobody plays defense as well as the Panthers. The toughest team Pitt will face on their way to the Final Four isn’t #2 seed Duke, which won’t be able to play against the much stronger Panthers, but #3 Villanova who knows Pittsburgh and will bring that same brand of Big East toughness to the Dance as Pitt does.
Pick For Now: Pittsburgh Panthers
Long Shot Pick for Now: There isn’t one. This bracket should come down to Pittsburgh and Villanova.
South Bracket
#1 North Carolina Tar Heels
Analysis: The Tar Heels were upset by Florida State this past Saturday in the ACC Conference Tournament, but they did win the ACC regular season, so their number one seed is justified. But the Tar Heels have a tough road to climb to get to the Final Four. Their definitely talented but there’s been moments during the regular season when the Heels just don’t look like they’re all together on the court. #2 Oklahoma should be very tough to beat with Blake Griffin tearing it up in the middle, and #3 Syracuse and #4 Gonzaga all have a shot as well. I see North Carolina losing in the great eight in this bracket. Oklahoma with Griffin should go back to their winning ways after ending the regular season on a bad note. I like the #6 Arizona State Sun Devils as the long shot pick. Guard James Harden is as good as any in the nation.
Pick For Now: #2 Oklahoma Sooners
Long Shot Pick for Now: #6 Arizona State Sun Devils.
