LSU baller enters draft, but who is he?

Bookmark and Share by George Stinson

Louisiana State University had another player declare for the NBA draft, only few people in his own school have ever heard of him. Curtis Heroman is foregoing his final year of college eligibility in favor of entering the NBA draft. The catch? He isn’t even on the LSU basketball team! Heroman is an intramural player at the school, who managed to file all the necessary paper in order to enter the NBA draft. The six-foot three guard has battled a variety of ailments over the years and is not doing this as a publicity stunt. The NBA league office has confirmed that the player did indeed meet all of the requirement necessary to enter next month’s draft.

According to his high school coach, Heroman was a good player, able to play well only in spurts, as his stamina was always suspect due to his ongoing battle with diabetes. Heroman also blew out his knee in high school and says he’s just now reaching fine form. While the university student knows he probably won’t be drafted, Heroman is hoping a team or two will at least work him out. Credible sports news outlets have been reporting his declaration for the draft as though it was a regular college transaction. Heroman says he is serious about pursuing a professional basketball career and has put no limitations on what he can achieve. Just being a part of the drafting process is a monumental achievement.
