Despite being a fifth seed, the Bulldogs pulled off tight wins against Maryland. Not bad for a team that was not supposed to make it out of the first round. But don’t go betting that they will make it out of the third round alive as a ten-point underdog.
A.J Graves gives Butler a chance in every game, and he plays terrific defense. Outside of him, however, the team is physically very unimpressive. They do not have a man on the roster over 6-foot-7, and that will pose problems when they have to deal with the likes of Joakim Noah and Al Horford.
Noah and Horford are going to own the interior against Butler. Defensively they will not let anyone drive the lane uncontested. Offensively, Butler does not have anyone big enough – let alone, talented enough – to stop either of them.
UNLV matchup.
