The Best Bets in the ACC - College Hoops Betting Poll

1: Florida State Seminoles (9-4-1 ATS, 16-4 SU) (2-1-1 ATS, 3-2 SU in ACC) (LW: 2) FSU bettors deserved better than a push in its 75-69 defeat in Miami last week, but rebounded nicely with a 73-62 win in Charlottesville. This week is the Super Bowl for the Noles, as the Tar Heels will pay a visit to the Donald L. Tucker Center, a place where they’re just 2-3 ATS this season.

This Week: Home vs. North Carolina

2: Wake Forest Demon Deacons (8-5 ATS, 16-1 SU) (3-1 ATS, 3-1 SU in ACC) (LW: 1) Wake Forest didn’t stay the only undefeated team in America for long. The Deacs fell flat with a 78-71 loss at home against Virginia Tech; a shocking result considering they were 13-point favorites. They’re still 4-2 ATS at home this year, but the Dookies will provide another huge test.

This Week: Home vs. Duke, Away @ Georgia Tech

3: Duke Blue Devils (10-7-1 ATS, 18-1 SU) (3-2 ATS, 5-0 SU in ACC) (LW: 3) The Dookies ran their winning streak to 11 games with a pair of home wins in ACC play last week. An 85-44 thrashing of Maryland makes a strong case that the Blue Devils are the #1 team in the land. In what could be the best sports betting match-up of next week, Duke travels to Winston-Salem.

This Week: Away @ Wake Forest

4: North Carolina State Wolfpack (7-5-1 ATS, 10-7 SU) (2-2-1 ATS, 1-4 SU in ACC) (LW: 5) ACC play has been cruel to the Wolfpack so far this season. They dropped their fifth straight game away from the RBC Center with a pair of road losses at BC and Duke last week. The good news is that NCSU returns home this week. The bad news is that it’s still just 1-4 in the ACC this year.

This Week: Home vs. Miami, Home vs. North Carolina

5: Boston College Eagles (9-7 ATS, 15-6 SU) (3-3 ATS, 3-3 SU in ACC) (LW: 7) Boston College finally appears to have righted the ship after taking care of Georgia Tech and NC State last week. BC is now 4-4 ATS in its L/8 games, but last week’s side looked much better than the one that had lost its previous four games both SU and ATS.

This Week: Away @ Maryland, Home vs. Virginia Tech

6: Miami Hurricanes (7-6-1 ATS, 14-5 SU) (3-2 ATS, 3-2 SU in ACC) (LW: 6) The Canes may very well rue the day they lost 88-83 to Virginia Tech at home. Though they did notch a 75-69 win over FSU earlier in the week, things still seem questionable at best for Miami, who now has to take to the road for a couple games. The good news is that “The U” has covered all four road games this season.

This Week: Away @ North Carolina State, Away @ Maryland

7: Maryland Terrapins (6-5-2 ATS, 13-6 SU) (2-3 ATS, 2-3 SU in ACC) (LW: 4) Trips to Cameron Indoor are never fun, but Maryland’s was especially bad. Its 85-44 loss to Duke was its worst loss since 1944, so basketball bettors will hope for more from the Terps this week at home, where they’re a .500 ATS squad.

This Week: Home vs. Boston College, Home vs. Miami

8: Virginia Tech Hokies (7-7 ATS, 14-5 SU) (3-2 ATS, 4-1 SU in ACC) (LW: 11) Hokie Nation slipped back on to the radar for the NCAA Tournament committee last week with a pair of stunning road wins in Coral Gables and Winston-Salem. Since getting routed by Duke to kick off ACC play, VT is a perfect 5-0 SU and a sparkling 4-1 ATS.

This Week: Home vs. Clemson, Away @ Boston College

And the rest…

9: Virginia Cavaliers (5-6 ATS, 7-9 SU) (3-2 ATS, 1-4 SU in ACC) (LW: 9)

10: North Carolina Tar Heels (8-9 ATS, 17-2 SU) (2-3 ATS, 3-2 SU in ACC) (LW: 10)

11: Clemson Tigers (17-2, 6-7-1 ATS), (2-2-1 ATS, 3-2 SU in ACC) (LW: 8)

12: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (4-11 ATS, 9-10 SU) (1-4 ATS, 0-5 SU in ACC) (LW: 12)
