The Best Conference in College Ball - Big East Power Poll

1: South Florida Bulls (11-7 ATS, 7-12 SU) (5-2 ATS, 2-5 SU in Big East) (LW: 1) So far this Big East season, USF is 2-0 SU and ATS against DePaul, but is only 3-2 ATS and 0-5 SU against the rest of the Big East. Expect to see the Big East be a bit much for the Bulls as the season continues.

This Week: Away @ Louisville

2: Louisville Cardinals (11-7 ATS, 15-3 SU) (6-0 ATS, 6-0 SU in Big East) (LW: 4) No team is hotter in the Big East than the Cardinals. They kept up their winning ways with a 67-57 win at Syracuse to run their winning streak both SU and ATS to six games. With two lackluster teams invading Freedom Hall this week, don’t expect to see a speed bump put in Louisville’s path.

This Week: Home vs. South Florida, Home vs. West Virginia

3: Pittsburgh Panthers (8-5-1 ATS, 18-1 SU) (4-3 ATS, 5-2 SU in Big East) (LW: 5) Save that dud against Louisville, the Panthers have looked like one of the best teams in the country. They covered their fourth spread in their L/6 games after taking out Syracuse and West Virginia last week. Though there are two tough games on the horizon this week, never discount the ability of Pitt to dominate a performance.

This Week: Away @ Villanova, Home vs. Notre Dame

4: Seton Hall Pirates (8-6 ATS, 10-9 SU) (4-3 ATS, 1-6 SU in Big East) (LW: 2) The Pirates have been a frisky team of late at home. After two narrow OT defeats, they finally found the win column with a 65-60 upset of the Hoyas last Sunday afternoon. They’re now 2-1 ATS at home this year in conference, and will host a struggling Scarlet Knights squad this week.

This Week: Home vs. Rutgers

5: Marquette Golden Eagles (7-6-1 ATS, 17-2 SU) (4-2 ATS, 6-0 SU in Big East) (LW: 3) Marquette had covered five out of six games before running into the Blue Demons. A 16-point spread was a bit much to overcome, but a 79-70 victory ran the Golden Eagles’ winning streak to nine games. They haven’t been an underdog in this streak once though, and will probably find themselves in that situation twice this week.

This Week: Away @ Notre Dame, Home vs. Georgetown

6: Villanova Wildcats (8-7 ATS, 15-4 SU) (3-3 ATS, 3-3 SU in Big East) (LW: 10) The Wildcats came close to upsetting the Huskies in Connecticut last week, but found a way to stay within the 9.5-points. Nova now owns a three-game ATS winning streak, and will put that on the line in a huge tussle with the Panthers this week.

This Week: Home vs. Pittsburgh

7: NCAAB betting Tournament Selection Committee, they need to win a few of these big games. A deadly five-game spurt comes to a close this week in Providence.

This Week: Away @ Providence

8: Georgetown Hoyas (6-7-1 ATS, 12-6 SU) (2-5 ATS, 3-4 SU in Big East) (LW: 8) Things are starting to get a lot more difficult for the Hoyas. A 75-58 home loss to West Virginia was certainly unexpected, but the bigger embarrassment was a 65-60 loss in Seton Hall on Sunday. That’s three straight losses for G-Town, and it is just 1-5-1 ATS in its L/7 games.

This Week: Away @ Cincinnati, Away @ Marquette

9: Connecticut Huskies (6-7 ATS, 18-1 SU) (3-4 ATS, 7-1 SU in Big East) (LW: 9) The Huskies went through a rough three-game patch for sports betting fans, but continue finding ways to win big games in conference. They’re still unbeaten on the road this year in conference, and are 3-1 ATS, which is bad news for a struggling Blue Demons squad.

This Week: Away @ DePaul, Home vs. Providence

10: Rutgers Scarlet Knights (5-6 ATS, 9-11 SU) (2-4 ATS, 0-7 SU in Big East) (LW: 6) The Scarlet Knights still haven’t gotten their footing yet in Big East play. They have lost four straight games ATS and are still winless SU in conference. Things could get a tad easier this week with DePaul and Seton Hall on the schedule, but it’s clear that Rutgers is going to struggle for the remainder of this year.

This Week: Away @ Seton Hall, Home vs. DePaul

And the rest…

11: Providence Friars (7-8 ATS, 13-6 SU) (5-2 ATS, 5-2 SU in Big East) (LW: 12)

12: West Virginia Mountaineers (6-10 ATS, 14-5 SU) (2-4 ATS, 4-2 SU in Big East) (LW: 13)

13: St. John’s Red Storm (5-7-1 ATS, 11-8 SU) (3-4 ATS, 2-5 SU in Big East) (LW: 11)

14: Cincinnati Bearcats (6-8 ATS, 13-7 SU) (3-4 ATS, 3-4 SU in Big East) (LW: 15)

15: Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-8 ATS, 12-6 SU) (2-5 ATS, 3-4 SU in Big East) (LW: 14)

16: DePaul Blue Demons (3-10 ATS, 8-12 SU) (2-5 ATS, 0-7 SU in Big East) (LW: 16)
