to start betting on Oregon State vs Nebraska!

This game matches up two programs who really like to slow the pace of the game down, and have had some success in doing it. Under Doc Sadler, Nebraska has usually been good enough to go to the NIT, and they did so again last year, after winning 18 games during the regular season. They lost in the first round to New Mexico, and they did not return anyone who scored in double digits last season. There are a lot of new faces in the fold this season, and  Sadler has had to replace Cookie Miller at the point guard position.

His team has scored a win over rebuilding USC, but lost most recently to Creighton, in a game where they committed 20 turnovers. In the game since, where the Huskers shot 55% against Chicago State, they still committed 17 TO's, and allowed CSU to get 23 rebounds on the offensive glass. “Until we get 23 offensive rebounds and 17 turnovers corrected, we won’t beat a good basketball team, or a mediocre team, for that matter.”

Coach Craig Robinson, who is Barack Obama's brother-in-law, engineered an interesting turnaround at Oregon State last season. taking a tam that had gone winless in the Pac 10 Conference the year before and guiding it to seven league wins, and even though the Beavers finished 13-18 in the regular season and didn't get anywhere in the conference tourney, they did gain entrance to the fledgling CBI tournament and went all the way, beating Houston, Vermont, Stanford (who had beaten them in the conference tournament) and UTEP in a unique two-out-of-three series to capture the title.

With four starters coming back, more was expected, and Robinson has tried hard to deliver, with wins over George Washington and Colorado, after taking Texas Tech down to the wire in a 64-70 loss. The Beavers have a horrible ratio of assists (10.6 per game)  to turnovers (17.7) and that is something of great concern.

Nebraska has usually been a very tough customer at home, and if they can get back to where they usually have been in the turnover category (13.5 a game) they can take advantage of the fact that the Beavers can't really trade a lot of threes for twos (only six three-pointers in the last three games). Incremental edges move toward Nebraska, seeking revenge for last season's 64-63 defeat at Corvallis, so we wil lay the points in the BetUS NCAA basketball odds.
